The house build this year. At least we tried to start today. I drilled holes in 2 sheets of roofing steel, and Hal got onto the roof to attach the string he uses to line the steel up perpendicular to the eaves. But when he tried to lay the radiant barrier down the wind was just from the wrong direction and too strong. So we aborted the build and went home.
Tomorrow Hal will start putting in the end beams, which are like rim joists but don't rest on the a sill plate, instead they are inset into the outside of the posts. That he can do without me (as far as we know, having not done any yet) and it the annoying east wind which will continue for at least another week.
But at least we've started again.
